How to find us

Zagreb is well-connected with most European capitals and can easily be reached either by air or by train or car.

By air: The Zagreb international airport is located 17km south of the city. To travel from the airport to the city you have several options. You can take a bus (5 EUR) to the main bus station and then tram no.6 to the city centre. Tram tickets can be bought directly from the driver or at kiosk. The second option is to take Uber (15-20 EUR). Also, there is a bus line 290 connecting airport and Kvaternik Square. Finally, some city hotels have pick-up/drop-off service.

By train: The Zagreb main railway station is practically in the city centre, so depending on your accommodation you can either walk or take a tram for a couple of stations. Tram tickets can be bought directly from the driver or at kiosk.

By car: Zagreb is the hub of five major Croatian highways, so reaching Zagreb by car is relatively easy. However, driving in the city centre is rather demanding exercise, so please have a GPS, lots of patience and check the parking options with accommodation of your choice. At the Rudjer Bošković Institute there is parking available.

Once in the city centre, locate the Zagreb Cathedral which is situated north from the main square - Trg bana Josipa Jelačića. The Rudjer Bošković Institute can be reached by buses 106, 201, 226 from the bus stop Kaptol just 100m north of Zagreb Cathedral and the ride takes approximately 10 minutes. One way bus ticket can be bought from kiosk.
