Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is a lively and well-connected city, easily accessible from most European capitals. Whether you're arriving by air, train, or car, Zagreb provides a variety of convenient transportation options to get to the Ruđer Bošković Institute.
By Air:
The Zagreb International Airport is located 17 km south of the city. Here are your options for getting to the city:

- Airport Bus: A bus (8 EUR) takes you to the main bus station, where you can transfer to tram no. 6 to reach the city center.
- Bus 290: A bus line connects the airport with Kvaternik Square.
- Uber: You can arrange a pick-up at the departures area for around 20 EUR.
- Some city hotels offer pick-up/drop-off services.
By Train:
The Zagreb Main Railway Station is conveniently located in the city center. From there, you can easily walk to most accommodations or take a tram for just a few stops. Tram tickets can be bought directly from the driver or at a kiosk.

By Car:
Zagreb is a hub of five major Croatian highways, so it’s easy to reach by car. However, driving in the city center can be challenging, so it’s recommended to use a GPS and check parking options with your accommodation. Parking is available at the Ruđer Bošković Institute.

Getting to the Ruđer Bošković Institute:
- In the city center, you can find the Zagreb Cathedral located just north of Trg bana Josipa Jelačića (the main square). Take buses 106, 201, 203, or 226 from the Kaptol bus stop, located just 100 meters north of the cathedral. The ride takes approximately 5 minutes, and a one-way bus ticket can be bought at the kiosk.
- By Bus from Kvaternik Square: If you are closer to Kvaternik Square ("Kvatrić"), take bus 201 that passes by the Ruđer Bošković Institute on its way to the city center.
